Chinese Medicine & Acupuncture Society of Australia CMASA Refund Policy

Chinese Medicine & Acupuncture Society of Australia (CMASA) is a professional association which provides advocacy on behalf of members for or against legislation that impacts the profession. It also provides opportunities for professional development, networking and information sharing. Only when we work together in collaboration, can we achieve productive outcomes. However, if you wish to cancel your membership, training courses or registered events due to a particular circumstance, this refund policy explains how to cancel and request a refund.

For Membership Services:

  • CMASA membership subscriptions are non-refundable once the membership period has commenced, except where required by law
  • If you are not satisfied with CMASA's services within 14 days of joining, you may contact CMASA to discuss your concerns
  • CMASA will assess your complaint and determine the appropriate remedy, which may include a pro-rata refund, service credits, or other remedies

For Online CPD Courses and Training Materials:

  • Digital products are generally non-refundable once purchased and access has been provided
  • If digital materials are defective or inaccessible due to a technical fault, CMASA will rectify the fault or provide a replacement
  • Physical materials may be returned within 14 days if damaged or defective

For Event Registrations:

  • Cancellations made 14 days or more prior to the event are eligible for a full refund
  • Cancellations made less than 14 days prior to the event are subject to a 50% refund, unless the event venue or circumstances require otherwise
  • No refunds are available for non-attendance or late cancellations
  • Attendees may transfer their registration to another person with written notice to CMASA

Important information about bank accounts

If your refund request is approved, we will pay the refund into your nominated Australian bank account. Please ensure your Australian bank account remains valid until after your refund has been paid. However, if you request a refund in respect of a payment made within six months, the refund will be paid back to the account from which the payment was paid. If you request to pay the refund amount into an overseas bank account, an additional administration fee will be charged and deducted from your refund.
